About The Position

Paterson Public Schools is seeking a qualified and motivated ESL/BSI Full-Time Teacher. This position is pending budget availability and will remain open for ten (10) consecutive days following the date posted or until filled. Requirements

Hold a New Jersey English as a Second Language certification
Knowledgeable of NJSLS, WIDA, and mandated state testing
Excellent experience teaching and working with various grade level students
Excellent integrity and demonstrate good moral character and initiative
Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of teaching English as a second language, child growth and development, effective instructional strategies, classroom management, learning assessment and diagnosis and research related to learning and children needing to learn English as a second language
Exhibit a personality that demonstrates enthusiasm and interpersonal skills to relate well with students, staff, administration, parents, and the community
Demonstrate the ability to use technology and technological devices to enhance lessons, as well as for word processing, data management, information retrieval, visual and audio presentations, and telecommunications
Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with staff, students, parents, and the community
Must be computer literate
Highly motivated result-driven educator
