About The Position

Mohawk Medbuy Corporation (MMC) is a national, not-for-profit, shared services organization that supports hundreds of health care providers across Canada, as well as child welfare agencies and other public sector organizations. MMC provides value-driven contracting and procurement solutions for medical/surgical supplies, pharmaceutical products, local sourcing, capital (equipment, FF&E and redevelopment) and nutrition solutions. Other services include data analytics, in-hospital logistics, warehousing, technology, procure-to-pay and accounts payable. Learn more: www.mohawkmedbuy.ca. We are currently recruiting for an ESG Analyst to support our Environmental Social Governance (ESG) team. The ESG Analyst is a key member of the ESG team responsible for analytical, content development and program support activities through all stages of initiative work, including, but not limited to: tracking and analyzing ESG data, engaging with stakeholders, and supporting internal MMC and Member-focused sustainability initiatives.

Requirements

  • Proven ability to understand and support ESG program management processes
  • Passionate about sustainability and planetary health, and capable of generating new and/or enhanced ESG concepts and ideas both internally and Member-focused

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in a relevant field such as ESG, Business Administration, Marketing, Health Informatics, Public Health
  • 2+ years experience in a corporate environment, with demonstrable experience across internal / external communications, report writing, project coordination and/or data analysis
  • Strong proficiency in MS Excel (Pivot tables, IF Statements, Lookups) and PowerPoint skills required

Nice To Haves

  • 1+ years of ESG experience in an analytical role or other ESG support role
  • 1+ years of health care sector experience
  • Public procurement experience is an asset

Responsibilities

  • Creation of clear, audience-specific written communications
  • Performing a broad scope of activities requiring analytical skills and techniques, data management capabilities, with ESG-specific content experience
  • Supporting the ESG Manager on Member-engagement activities including all ESG Member Council support, 1-1 Member specific ESG projects, and analytics required to support these initiatives
  • Tracking the metrics and progress of all ESG program activities, including supplier reporting to support Members on their ESG journey
  • Conduct comprehensive ESG research and analysis, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of evolving industry regulations, standards and practices and evaluating MMC’s performance against industry-specific criteria and standards
  • Identify key ESG risks, opportunities, and trends, providing insights to support strategic decision-making and risk mitigation.
  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders on ESG initiatives, challenges, ESG Member Council items, and related inquiries
  • Contributing to the development of ESG-related processes, criteria, KPI’s, and tools for monitoring the progress and success of ESG initiatives
  • Schedule meetings and coordination of follow-up items to ensure all ESG-focused initiatives remain on track.
  • Participate in the creation and presentation of ESG content during internal and external meetings
  • Contribute to the building and maintenance of strong relationships with Members, understanding their unique needs and providing customized ESG solutions
  • Execute on the preparation of proposals, project plans, formal briefing notes, and business cases to support strategic ESG work
  • Identify opportunities to support ESG and sustainability efforts for continuous improvement with a focus on health care
