About The Position
REMAX Hawaii is seeking an Escrow Officer to support its expanding staff. The role involves interacting with sellers, buyers, and lending organizations; reviewing trust deeds and mortgages; managing funds; and overseeing ownership records. The Escrow Officer will help ensure that documentation is accurate and prepared to finalize property sales, including obtaining property drawings and reports from assessors and surveyors. Compensation is up to USD 85,000 yearly.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Escrow certification.
- Previous work experience.
- Great decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- In-depth knowledge of legal codes, executive orders, and court procedures.
Responsibilities
- Communicate with sellers, buyers, and lending institutions.
- Transfer and hold funds.
- Verify documents and the accuracy of land ownership information.
- Prepare closing reports and finalize transactions.
- Examine mortgages and trust deeds.
- Summarize search activity documents and review them.
- Obtain reports and property drawings from assessors and surveyors.
