About The Position

The Escrow Officer/Transaction Manager acts as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring an excellent client experience. This role involves coordinating communication with realtors, lenders, attorneys, buyers, and sellers to prepare for closing. Responsibilities include resolving title insurance commitment items, clearing title defects, and obtaining necessary documentation. The position requires preparing the Closing Disclosure and/or Settlement Statement in compliance with all relevant requirements. Additionally, the role involves performing closing and settlement functions according to company standards and building business relationships with realtors and lenders. A Transaction Manager oversees a file from beginning to end, ensuring accurate and timely closing and disbursement of files while providing professional service. They must understand all aspects of a real estate transaction and work with other departments to achieve a successful outcome.

Requirements

  • At least one year of experience working in the Real Estate Title industry or Real Estate Law.
  • Proven organization and communication skills
  • Experience coordinating communication across multiple channels and people
  • Ability to multi-task and work quickly but accurately
  • Quality communication skills via email, phone, video, and in-person, including proper grammar and spelling

Responsibilities

  • Acts as the first and primary point of contact with our clients, responsible for ensuring an excellent client experience.
  • Coordinates communication with realtors, lenders, attorneys, buyers, sellers, members, etc., to prepare for closing.
  • Ensures that all items on a title insurance commitment are resolved before closing: clears title defects and obtains documentary proof to resolve a defect or obtain signatures on documents needed to insure marketable title.
  • Prepares the Closing Disclosure and/or Settlement Statement, compliant with the purchase contract, lender closing instructions, and federal/state requirements.
  • Perform closing and settlement functions per company standards.
  • Create or maintain business relationships with realtors and lenders for the continued success of our business.
  • Manages a “file” (title order), from beginning to end.
  • Accurately closing and disbursing files under a deadline while providing excellent, professional service to our clients.
  • Working with other departments to get the file closed; however, they are ultimately responsible for the overall successful outcome.
