About The Position

Transports patients and patient related items throughout the medical center in a safe and efficient manner. Responsible to complete patient transports in a timely manner, maintain clean equipment, interact politely and professionally with patients, visitors and medical center staff. Functions independently and as a team member, frequently with direction via phone or pager.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must be able to work independently and in a group setting.
• Requires exceptional communication, telephone and human relation skills to interact with patients, guests and staff.
• Strong problem-solving skills are necessary.
• Must be able to adapt to unpredictable and stressful situations.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Must be able to read, write and understand English.

Nice To Haves

• Previous hospital, clinical or patient care experience is preferred.
