About The Position

SpartanX is seeking an experienced ESC Electrical Manager to oversee residential solar electrical operations throughout Iowa. This leadership role is responsible for managing electrical crews, ensuring code compliance, supporting operational efficiency, and maintaining high-quality installation standards across all projects. The ideal candidate has strong field leadership experience, understands residential solar electrical operations, and can confidently manage electricians, apprentices, inspections, scheduling coordination, and quality control while maintaining a safety-first culture. This is a hands-on operational leadership role supporting a fast-growing solar team.

Requirements

  • Active Journeyman or Master Electrician license preferred
  • Prior experience managing electrical crews or solar field operations
  • Strong understanding of residential electrical systems and solar PV installations
  • Ability to lead teams while maintaining operational accountability
  • Knowledge of NEC requirements and inspection processes
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Professional communication and leadership abilities
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced field operations environments
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record

Nice To Haves

  • Solar leadership or ESC management experience
  • NABCEP certification
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
  • Experience with battery storage systems
  • Experience managing multi-crew operations

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day electrical operations for residential solar projects
  • Manage and support licensed electricians, apprentices, and field crews
  • Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with NEC and Iowa code requirements
  • Review project schedules, manpower needs, and installation timelines
  • Assist with troubleshooting electrical and operational issues in the field
  • Coordinate with operations, permitting, inspections, and service departments
  • Conduct quality control reviews and jobsite audits
  • Support crew development, accountability, and training initiatives
  • Ensure proper documentation, inspection readiness, and project closeout compliance
  • Maintain professional communication with homeowners, AHJs, and internal teams
