About The Position

The ES&H Trainer, described in the job summary as the Project Safety Trainer, delivers training programs and materials in a construction environment for the Thacker Pass Project. The role works with Environmental, Safety, and Health (ES&H) and Construction groups to develop, revise, and implement craft training; coordinate skills verification and mentoring; and address skill gaps. The trainer supervises project trainers and/or craft evaluators, guides training for craft workers at all levels, and oversees capability assessments of direct-hire craft. The position also manages the project training facility, including layout, resources, setup, and maintenance. It coordinates classes, instructors, facilities, schedules, participants, and instructor evaluations; collects and analyzes training data; and reports on project training activities to site and Labor Relations management. Training activities may take place at multiple project locations, so a current U.S. driver's license is required. The project is in a remote, high-desert area of north-central Nevada, about one hour northwest of Winnemucca.
