About The Position

This is a direct management and technical leadership role within the Gulfstream Business Technology organization for the ERP team. Responsible for team performance by ensuring deliverables are prioritized and delivered to agreed schedule and budget. This role is also responsible for budgeting, hiring / termination, employee development, employee reviews, and project management as required. This technical thought leadership role extends to performing detailed requirements documentation, configuration, testing, and application / business process strategy based on extensive hands on experience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or relevant cirriculum required or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
  • 14 years of experience as an IT professional with broad experience across multiple IT disciplines which includes seven (7) years specific ERP development / deployment experience or 4 years of experience leading professional employees.
  • Demonstrated understanding of software development lifecycle methodologies (SDLC).
  • Experience in conducting testing including design and execution of test cases.
  • Proven ability to lead teams through complex solution design and delivery process.
  • A credit history check from a national credit bureau will be conducted for all candidates for this position including new hires and current employees seeking promotion or transfer.
  • This job requires one to be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.

  • Master's Degree may be used to offset one (1) year of experience; PhD may offset two (2) years of experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide the solution leadership and staff mentorship for the implementation team.
  • Delivers solution capabilities (processes, integration, data migration, and custom development) by leveraging product knowledge and expertise.
  • Determines goals, timelines, budgets, staffing requirements and allotment of applications resources.
  • Communicates performance expectations, salary administration, and conducts performance appraisals.
  • Defines the desired future state of application architecture, and documents the gaps between current and future states.
  • Define transition plans to close the gaps.
  • Delegates tasks and/or responsibilities to team members for action according to their level of experience and assigned accountability.
  • Ensures applications processes are followed consistently and are in compliance with applicable policies, procedures, standards, etc.
  • Performs work related to configuring, deploying, maintaining, and upgrading ERP applications and processes.
  • Responsible for tasks related to the development and deployment of systems, methodologies, standards and processes that result in the ability to create and manage the ERP solution.
  • Works with programming resources (in house and third party) to ensure development work is completed to specifications.
  • Provide thought leadership to key business leaders on business process designs to leverage world class process and current technology options for transformational business change.
  • Conducts briefings and participates in technical meetings concerning specific projects or other activities.
  • Serves as technical expert in one or more applications within a portfolio.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
