About The Position

The ERP Product Owner is a role within the Corporate IT team at Trudell Medical Limited, a company focused on providing patients with medical devices and services that improve their lives. This office-based role offers the option of a hybrid work arrangement, requiring 4 days per week in the London, Ontario office. They will be adept at managing requirements elicitation with diverse stakeholders and handling tasks from multiple concurrent initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or relevant work experience.
  • 5+ years’ experience operating ERP or within the Microsoft ecosystem.
  • 5+ years as a Product Owner, ERP Manager, Business Analyst, or Functional Consultant with hands-on D365 F&O experience.
  • Deep expertise in one or more F&O modules — Finance, Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing, or Project Operations.
  • Experience managing an Agile backlog end-to-end in Azure DevOps, ideally within an LCS-managed project.
  • Strong understanding of core F&O data structures — legal entities, operating units, chart of accounts, item models.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, comfortable presenting to CFOs, COOs, and other C-level executives.
  • Experience with F&O integrations (D365 CRM/CE, Power Platform, Azure Data Factory, third-party WMS, payroll).
  • Solid understanding of Microsoft's release wave process and how to manage updates in LCS.
  • Familiarity with D365 F&O licensing models (Finance, SCM, full user vs. activity user).

Responsibilities

  • Define and own the D365 F&O product vision and multi-quarter roadmap aligned with business objectives.
  • Continuously evaluate F&O capabilities, ISV solutions, and Power Platform extensions to identify improvement opportunities and deliver them via self-implementation or a delivery partner.
  • Align ERP strategy across Finance, Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing, and Project Operations modules.
  • Engage stakeholders across finance, procurement, supply chain, warehouse operations, HR, IT, and leadership.
  • Facilitate workshops and discovery sessions to translate business needs into actionable F&O requirements.
  • Manage competing priorities across business units with transparency and clear communication.
  • Own and maintain a prioritized product backlog using Azure DevOps.
  • Write detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and epics aligned to F&O functional areas.
  • Lead sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives; remove blockers to keep delivery on track.
  • Collaborate daily with D365 F&O developers, functional consultants, and solution architects.
  • Oversee and in some cases deliver F&O configuration, extensions (X++ customizations), and integrations (D365 CRM, Power BI, Azure, eCommerce).
  • Govern master data standards covering legal entities, chart of accounts, customers, vendors, products, and warehouses.
  • Manage the release pipeline in coordination with Microsoft's release wave schedule via Lifecycle Services (LCS) / Power Platform Admin Centre.
  • Ensure solution design balances standard functionality vs. extensions to minimize upgrade risk and technical debt.
  • Oversee sandbox, UAT, and production environment management through LCS.
  • Lead, supervise, and mentor team members.
  • Set clear expectations and provide ongoing feedback to each team member to help maximize their performance and development.
  • As applicable, mentor and train developers on established processes and solution development activities.
