About The Position

This position serves as the ERP Integrations Lead for the Department of Innovation & Technology (DoIT), implementing policy related to the integration, migration, and future sunset plan of legacy systems impacted by the ERP Program, including conferring with functional experts in each area to identify gaps and makes recommendations for legacy system interfaces. In this role, you will plan, direct, and implement strategies for future support and sunsets of legacy systems not retired as part of the ERP Program. This position serves as a supervisor for vendor contractual staff assigning and monitoring work, overseeing projects, providing guidance, and reviewing contractual agreements to ensure compliance. This position also serves as a project manager on highly complex projects while independently planning, developing, and implementing techniques for gathering and interpreting data.

Requirements

  • Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to (4) four years of college with coursework in management information systems, data processing, computer science, telecommunication or directly related information technology field.
  • Requires four (4) years of progressively responsible administrative experience in a public or private business Information Technology organization.

Nice To Haves

  • Four (4) years of professional experience with system integration and data analysis, including identifying gaps between outside systems requirements and ERP Program requirements, recommending interface solutions, resolving data integrity issues, and monitoring migration progress.
  • Four (4) years of professional experience in software implementation, including supporting the rollout of enterprise solutions, recommending program enhancements, collaborating on design decisions, and ensuring alignment between outside systems and ERP Program components.
  • Four (4) years of professional experience with ERP software (e.g. SAP, Oracle, or Workday), including collaborating with ERP Program technical, functional, and quality management staff, participating in policy development for statewide business processes, and serving as a subject matter resource for ERP-impacted system management.
  • Four (4) years of professional experience in quality assurance software testing as part of an integration or migration process, including participating in coordinated ERP Program activities, validating system interfaces, and assessing system functionality during system consolidation efforts.
  • Four (4) years of professional experience in project management, including planning, directing, and implementing strategies for complex, multi-stakeholder technology initiatives, coordinating with ERP Program Leadership, and monitoring progress on migration and integration efforts.
  • Ability to analyze complex administrative challenges, identify root causes, and implement strategic result-driven solutions that enhance operational efficiency and organizational effectiveness.
  • Ability to develop and maintain cooperative working relationships with staff, managers, executives, subordinates, vendors and others, fostering collaboration in resolving sensitive administrative or technical issues and supporting subordinate vendor contractors and project staff.
  • Ability to lead and coordinate cross-functional teams, aligning individual contributions toward shared goals to consistently deliver high-impact results.
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills to present administrative information clearly and precisely to diverse stakeholders, including executives, managers, staff, vendors, contractual vendors, project staff, and external/internal auditors.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as the ERP Integrations Lead for the Department of Innovation & Technology (DoIT) implementing policy and leading and supporting work efforts across ERP foundational tool sets related to the integration, migration, data movement, and source/target connections of systems impacted by the ERP Program, including conferring with functional experts in multiple areas to identify gaps and make recommendations for system interfaces.
  • Partners and collaborates with the ERP Deputy Director of Technology, other ERP technical staff, functional staff, and vendor staff to coordinate and control the implementation and steady state support of the ERP Program, including recommending program enhancements that relate to ERP Program interactions with other systems and within the ERP modules.
  • Serves as a project manager on highly complex projects while independently planning, developing, and implementing techniques for gathering and interpreting data.
  • Serves as spokesperson on issues associated with system integrations impacted by the ERP Program, including representing the ERP Program to internal and external entities, such as DoIT Leadership, the Governor’s Office, the legislative and the Governor’s Office of Management and Budget.
  • Keeps abreast of new developments in the information technology field by continuing education through online training platforms, meetings, training sessions, seminars, and conferences to increase familiarity with and remain current on products, vendors, techniques, and procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or required which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
