ERP Implementation Specialist – Finance & Manufacturing

About The Position

PlayCore is seeking an experienced ERP Implementation Specialist with a background in manufacturing and financial operations to support implementation, expansion, and optimization of its enterprise resource planning environment. The role will contribute to PlayCore’s transition to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O), including migrating acquired and existing businesses from legacy accounting and ERP platforms into a standardized enterprise system. Working with Finance, Accounting, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Operations, IT, and external implementation partners, the specialist will connect business processes with technology. The position supports ERP implementation phases from requirements gathering and solution design through configuration, testing, data migration, deployment, and post-go-live support. It also helps improve processes, strengthen internal ERP support capabilities, and standardize business practices across PlayCore’s multi-site organization. Domestic travel to manufacturing and operating locations is required. Trips may last approximately one week, with frequency varying according to project timelines and business needs. Occasional extended hours may be required during critical implementation and go-live periods.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain, or a related field.
3–5 years of relevant experience supporting ERP systems, enterprise applications, or technology initiatives.
Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
Hands-on participation in at least one major ERP implementation, conversion, or enterprise-wide system rollout.
Strong understanding of manufacturing financial and accounting processes, including cost accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory costing, absorption, and job costing.
Experience with business process analysis, requirements gathering, system testing, troubleshooting, and process improvement.
Ability to translate business requirements into functional and technical system solutions.
Strong understanding of ERP systems, implementation methodologies, and enterprise business processes.
Knowledge of manufacturing financial processes and cost accounting principles.
Experience with system configuration, integrations, data migration, testing, and troubleshooting.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, process improvement, communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a changing environment, work independently, take ownership of initiatives, and build relationships across multiple business units.
Ability to travel domestically to PlayCore manufacturing and operating locations; travel may involve trips of approximately one week at a time.
Ability to work occasional extended hours during critical implementation and go-live periods.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

Support implementation, expansion, and ongoing optimization of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations across PlayCore’s manufacturing and operating businesses.
Work with Finance, Accounting, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Operations stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into functional and technical ERP solutions.
Serve as a subject matter resource for manufacturing financial processes, including cost accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory costing, absorption, and job costing.
Participate in ERP implementation phases, including requirements gathering, process mapping, solution design, system configuration, testing, data migration, deployment, and post-go-live support.
Support migration of acquired businesses and existing entities from legacy accounting and ERP platforms into PlayCore’s standardized enterprise environment.
Evaluate business processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, standardization, financial controls, and system functionality.
Collaborate with internal IT teams, developers, software vendors, and implementation partners on system enhancements, integrations, reporting, and technical solutions.
Troubleshoot complex functional and technical system issues, perform root cause analysis, and coordinate resolutions.
Develop and maintain functional specifications, process flows, system documentation, and standard operating procedures.
Develop and execute test plans for system functionality, financial processes, integrations, and enhancements.
Support data migration, conversion, and validation activities to help ensure accuracy and consistency across business systems.
Assist with end-user training, change management, and adoption of standardized ERP processes across multiple locations.
Help develop internal ERP support capabilities.
Assist with implementation planning, project timelines, milestones, and cross-functional initiative coordination.
Support reporting, data analysis, and business intelligence initiatives to improve visibility into financial and operational performance.
