About The Position

We are seeking an experienced ER Tech to join our team on a per diem basis in Seaside, OR. This role involves providing direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, performing various technical skills, and ensuring patient comfort and safety. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of one year of ER Tech experience, or 6-12 months of ER experience if currently an EMT. A strong understanding of patient populations from neonate to older adult, and proficiency in essential ER procedures are required.

Requirements

Minimum 1 year of ER Tech experience required.
6-12 months of ER experience acceptable if currently an EMT.
BLS certification (must be AHA).
EPIC experience.
Experience with ADLs.
Phlebotomy skills.
Knowledge of abnormal/normal vital sign parameters.
Ability to report abnormal findings.
Assisting with setup of bedside procedures.
Postmortem care.
Restraints application.
Labeling specimens and transport.
Performing EKGs.
Behavioral health de-escalation.
Isolation precautions/PPE.
Reporting changes in patient condition.
Experience with patient populations: Neonate, Infant, Child, Adolescent, Young Adult, Middle Adult, Older Adult.

Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
Perform technical skills including phlebotomy, EKGs, and specimen labeling/transport.
Assist with the setup of bedside procedures.
Monitor and report abnormal vital signs and changes in patient condition.
Assist with patient ADLs, including ambulation and feeding.
Apply restraints when necessary.
Perform postmortem care.
Implement isolation precautions and proper PPE usage.
Utilize behavioral health de-escalation techniques.
Manage behavioral emergencies.
Ensure proper donning and removing of PPE.
