About The Position

The ER Registrar registers patients presenting to Freeman Health System. The role conducts patient interviews to obtain registration information, completes required forms, and obtains signatures. It initiates the financial counseling process, collects monies owed, verifies insurance at the point of service, and calculates patient estimates. The registrar represents Freeman Health System as the focal point for all initial communications.

Requirements

• At least 6 months of customer service experience.
• Knowledge of computers and other standard office equipment.
• Ability to type at least 35 words per minute.
• High school diploma or GED, or completion of two years of college-level classes.
