About The Position

Truist Securities is the full-service corporate and investment banking arm of Truist Financial Corporation. The Equity Research Analyst Program begins with an intensive classroom instruction period covering capital markets, products and services, accounting, corporate finance, systems, and financial modeling. Following this training, Analysts join a business group, specifically within Sales, Trading & Research, to support senior professionals. The Equity Research role is ideal for individuals interested in capital markets, where Analysts are embedded in a team covering a specific sector under the guidance of a senior research analyst. They will support the team in publishing research reports, including investment recommendations (BUY, SELL, or HOLD), by performing data analysis, building financial models, and participating in calls with company management and institutional clients. This role offers exposure to various disciplines within Sales, Trading & Research.

Requirements

• Completed BA/BS degree with a scheduled graduation of December 2025 – May/June 2026
• Proven analytical ability and attention to detail
• Solid leadership and interpersonal skills
• Superior written and oral communication skills
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team oriented environment

Nice To Haves

• Business or STEM (highly preferred) major
• Strong interest in finance and investment banking
• Prior completion of Accounting or Finance coursework
• High degree of academic and extracurricular achievement
• Willingness to commit substantial time and energy to the program
• Overall GPA of 3.0

Responsibilities

• Support assigned team during the production and writing of research reports, including investment recommendations (BUY, SELL or HOLD).
• Perform data analysis.
• Build and maintain financial models.
• Participate in conference calls with company management teams or institutional clients.
• Gain exposure to a number of disciplines within Sales, Trading & Research.
• Support internal and external clients within assigned groups.
