About The Position
Operations Analysts at Susquehanna help maximize process efficiency across the firm and support daily trading operations. As an Operations Analyst co-op, you will gain exposure to the trading environment and business areas at Susquehanna, working with the Equity Options/Index trading desk. The role offers exposure to one of the firm’s largest trading desks, hands-on education, and opportunities to develop technical skills and financial products knowledge. Over the six-month co-op, you will work on analytical projects affecting multiple areas of the business and addressing industry challenges. Past projects have included trading and profit-and-loss analytics, operational process automation, and research into new business opportunities. Co-ops can network across the firm and build relationships with recently graduated mentors.
Requirements
- Pursuing a degree in Finance, Math, Computer Science, or a related major.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Access.
- Ability to collaborate with a team and work independently with confidence.
- Flexibility, drive, and commitment to innovation.
- Ability and desire to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience with VBA and SQL.
- Previous experience in financial services or completion of finance- or investment-related coursework.
- Background in Probability and Statistics.
Responsibilities
- Communicate with satellite offices and exchanges about trades.
- Track and correct trade breaks.
- Run macros that update data used in profit-and-loss reports.
- Enter trade tickets throughout the day.
- Send hourly and final trade recaps.
- Run evening macros to update trade records.
