About The Position

We are looking for an experienced Equipment Technician to join our team. This position is responsible for inspecting, troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing a wide variety of rental equipment, both at the store and at customer job sites. The right candidate will be mechanically inclined, dependable, safety-minded, and able to adjust priorities when an urgent customer need arises.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
At least two years of mechanical experience
Valid California driver’s license with a clean driving record
Basic knowledge of mechanical systems and equipment repair
Dependable and punctual
Self-motivated and team-oriented
Strong attention to detail
Good communication and customer service skills
Ability to change direction and reprioritize work to address urgent customer needs

Responsibilities

Inspect, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair rental equipment
Evaluate equipment issues and complete repairs safely and efficiently
Perform service calls and equipment repairs at customer job sites
Operate and test equipment to verify that repairs have been completed properly
Complete timely and detailed service reports and repair logs
Communicate repair status and job progress with managers and team members
Identify and order necessary parts and equipment
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Properly use personal protective equipment and follow all company safety procedures
Travel safely and courteously to and from customer locations
Assist with other departmental duties as needed
Complete at least 20 hours of continued education and training each year
Provide professional and helpful service to both customers and coworkers
