Equipment Technician, Day Shift, BioMed Engineering
About The Position
Shady Grove Medical Center is hiring an experienced Equipment Technician for its BioMed Engineering Department. The role supports supply chain management and equipment maintenance, including stocking supply and procedure carts, obtaining and documenting equipment, decontaminating durable medical equipment, and participating in cost-containment activities. The technician must follow hospital risk management and employee health programs and take responsibility for personal and professional growth. This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week position with a typical schedule of 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Weekend work is not required; holiday coverage is required on a rotation in accordance with the company holiday calendar. The position is not on call. The pay range is $18.40–$23.65 per hour.
Requirements

- Experienced Equipment Technician; no specific number of years is stated.
Responsibilities
- Participate in supply chain management and equipment maintenance processes.
- Stock supply and procedure carts on the unit.
- Obtain equipment as needed to support the department and maintain documentation.
- Decontaminate durable medical equipment.
- Participate in cost-containment activities.
- Adhere to Hospital Risk Management and Employee Health Programs.
- Demonstrate responsibility for personal and professional growth.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
