About The Position

Marathon Petroleum Company LP has an opportunity for an Equipment Technician supporting Office Services at our Findlay office. Office Services provides printing, mailing, delivery, and related services to Marathon Petroleum’s locations across the enterprise. Members of this team work together and with vendors to provide these services to internal customers. This includes operation of digital presses, oversight of local printers, extensive use of digital solutions, processing of materials and data, personal interaction with customers and vendors, data management, sorting, and cost control. These processes all require a high level of accuracy and efficiency as the team seeks to provide these services with the maximum level of professionalism.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • One (1) year of experience required.
  • Ability to lift packages (up to 50 lbs.).
  • Ability to spend prolonged periods of time standing or walking

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates specialized equipment expertise including network printing, document duplication, production publishing systems, digital press operation, laser engraving, textured printing, image scanning, document archival/retrieval using multiple hard copy and/or electronic media, bindery, mail presorting, inserting and other graphics and mail functions
  • Sets up, adjusts, and operates digital press equipment to carry out the printing of maps, charts, brochures, posters, bulletins, forms, statements, letters, booklets and similar materials.
  • Cleans, adjusts, and lubricates machines, and carries out minor repairs to maintain equipment in good working order.
  • Diagnoses equipment problems, makes minor repairs and assists outside repair personnel with major repairs and overhauls as necessary.
  • Compiles, maintains, and inputs daily records of units produced, materials used, and project time for assigned areas; assists in the ordering and inventory of supplies and materials needed to operate in an efficient manner.
  • Inspects jobs in assigned areas to ensure quality, quantities, and established deadlines; takes necessary action to correct deficiencies.
  • Studies operating manuals and reviews industry publications to stay abreast of changing technology to ensure customer expectations are met in a cost-effective manner.
  • Collaborates with vendors and suppliers to identify future evolutions of our services and the related equipment and supplies.
