About The Position

ISHPI is seeking an Equipment Specialist to support Command and Control (C2) Afloat Integration Support (C2AIS) for the U.S. Coast Guard Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber and Intelligence Service Center (C5ISC) in Portsmouth, Virginia. The role manages C5ISC-supported systems and provides system, software, hardware, network, test, and electronic engineering, as well as technical writing services.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Electronics Technology or Information Technology and at least four years of experience in C4IT system sustainment and logistics management; alternatively, completion of USCG or DOD Technical “A” School and at least six years of experience in C4IT system sustainment and logistics management.
• U.S. citizenship.
• Active DoD government security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Assist with collecting, analyzing, and preparing technical data and documentation, including desk guides and standardized configuration drawings.
• Independently review engineering data, job aids, technical guides and documents, desk guides, and illustrated parts breakdowns before field implementation to ensure consistent, high-quality delivery.
• Review Engineering Change Proposals and provide recommendations.
• Analyze configuration and supply data to identify and correct discrepancies, and assist with stock control.
• Participate in equipment supportability analyses, including Failure Mode Effect and Criticality Analysis (FMECA) and Level of Repair Analysis (LORA).
• Provide quality assurance review of maintenance and supply plans.
• Identify and correct deficiencies in logistic support elements needed to maintain supported systems.
• Use logistics management applications to determine and document system configurations, logistics support, and inventory tracking.
