About The Position

This role is built for sales professionals who take ownership of their territory, thrive on exceeding goals, and are relentless in the pursuit of growth. As an Equipment Sales Representative, you will be on the front line of revenue generation, representing industry leading Caterpillar equipment to customers across the General Construction market. You will be trusted to uncover opportunities, outmaneuver competitors, and deliver solutions that create measurable results for both customers and the business. This is a high Impact role where performance is visible, success is rewarded, and drive makes the difference. Earning potential of $90,000-110,000+ which includes base plus targeted uncapped commission.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a B2B sales role, with demonstrated success against targets
  • Competitive mindset with a proven desire to win business and outperform goals
  • Highly self‑motivated with the ability to work independently and take full ownership of results
  • Strong prioritization and time management skills in a fast‑paced, target‑driven environment
  • Confident, persuasive communicator with strong relationship building capability
  • Detail‑oriented and disciplined in managing pipelines, forecasts, and customer data
  • Resilient, adaptable, and comfortable navigating objections and complex sales cycles
  • Team oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate across functions to close deals
  • Understanding of the General Construction market, including Compact Construction Equipment and Building Construction Products
  • Ability to quickly learn and leverage Caterpillar products, customer applications, and market trends
  • Commercial understanding of pricing, credit, financing, and deal structuring
  • Commitment to safety standards and operational excellence

  • Experience in construction, heavy equipment, or capital equipment sales is considered a strong asset

Responsibilities

  • Own and grow equipment sales within a defined geographic or customer market
  • Consistently achieve and exceed revenue, margin, and growth targets
  • Proactively hunt for new business opportunities and expand wallet share within existing accounts
  • Build competitive, strategic deal structures grounded in a strong understanding of customer economics
  • Develop deep, trusted relationships with customers, Caterpillar, and internal stakeholders
  • Maintain a strong, accurate sales pipeline and forecast new equipment sales against budget targets
  • Position and market the full Caterpillar product portfolio to deliver best in class customer solutions
  • Resolve customer issues quickly and confidently, including warranty, goodwill, and account concerns
  • Maintain disciplined, accurate client data using Finning sales systems
  • Represent the company with professionalism, integrity, and a strong results-oriented mindset
