Equipment Rental Specialist
About The Position
The Equipment Rental Specialist is an inside sales role supporting telephone and walk-in customers renting construction and industrial equipment. As a front-line customer contact, the specialist identifies equipment needs, negotiates rental terms, and places orders. The position also requires strong administrative skills and a professional attitude to deliver customer satisfaction. The role may offer a career path into outside sales or operational management and provides steady hours with potential overtime. The physical demands include bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, and lifting 50 pounds or more; work may take place indoors or outdoors as required.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Familiarity with various types of construction or industrial tools and equipment.
- Strong customer service and telephone skills.
- Solid computer and administrative skills.
- Ability to bend, squat, crouch, reach, and lift 50 pounds or more, and to work indoors or outdoors when required.
Nice To Haves
- Previous equipment rental industry experience.
- Successful completion of the DOT Qualification process.
- Bilingual ability (Spanish or another language), which may be preferred in some locations.
