About The Position

The Equipment Operator supports warehouse operations by safely operating equipment, keeping work and storage areas clean, and maintaining merchandise integrity. The role requires experience operating a Reach Truck (stand-up); candidates will be tested on the equipment and sent home if they do not pass. The position also involves warehouse order handling, inventory assistance, material movement, and preparing goods for shipment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of experience in a similar role in a warehouse environment.
• Experience operating a double walkie rider and/or pallet jack.
• Ability to safely operate a Reach Truck (stand-up); equipment testing is required.

Nice To Haves

• Active certification for operating a double walkie rider and/or pallet jack.

Responsibilities

• Read production and delivery schedules and confer with supervisors to determine sorting and transfer procedures, pallet arrangements, and destinations for loaded pallets.
• Perform general warehouse activities, including opening containers and crates, filling warehouse orders, assisting with inventory, and weighing and checking materials.
• Use scanning or other automated data-entry procedures, including imaging devices and document-imaging software.
• Learn and follow safety regulations.
• Pack, seal, label, or affix postage to materials for shipping using hand tools, power tools, or a postage meter.
• Remove completed or defective products or materials and place them on moving equipment or in designated areas.
• Move materials over short distances around a warehouse or other work site.
• Manually or mechanically load and unload materials from pallets, skids, platforms, cars, lifting devices, or other transport vehicles.
