About The Position

The Equipment Operator supports warehouse operations by safely operating equipment, keeping work and storage areas clean, and maintaining merchandise integrity. Forklift experience operating a stand-up reach truck is required. Candidates will be tested on the equipment; those who do not pass will be sent home.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of experience in a similar warehouse role.
• Experience operating a double walkie rider and/or pallet jack.
• Ability to safely operate a reach truck.
• Must pass an equipment test; applicants who do not pass will be sent home.

Nice To Haves

• Active certification for operating a double walkie rider and/or pallet jack.

Responsibilities

• Read production and delivery schedules and confer with supervisors to determine sorting and transfer procedures, pallet arrangements, and destinations for loaded pallets.
• Perform general warehouse activities, including opening containers and crates, filling warehouse orders, assisting with inventory, and weighing and checking materials.
• Use imaging devices and document imaging software to implement scanning or other automated data-entry procedures.
• Learn and follow safety regulations.
• Pack, seal, label, or affix postage to materials for shipping using hand tools, power tools, or a postage meter.
• Remove completed or defective products or materials and place them on conveyors or in designated areas such as loading docks.
• Move materials over short distances within a warehouse or other worksite.
• Manually or mechanically load and unload materials from pallets, skids, platforms, cars, lifting devices, or other transport vehicles.
• Keep work and storage areas clean and maintain merchandise integrity.
