About The Position
Gilchrist County Solid Waste & Recycling is seeking an experienced Equipment Operator to support County operations. The role involves operating heavy equipment, transporting waste, and serving as an attendant at recycling sites. The position is full-time, pays $16–$18 per hour based on qualifications, and includes retirement benefits. Saturday work is required, and the role involves outdoor work in all weather conditions and heavy lifting.
Requirements
- Experience operating heavy equipment.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Good customer service skills.
- Must be able to work on Saturdays.
- Submit a copy of a Florida Class A CDL license with the application.
