About The Position

This is a safety-sensitive position responsible for receiving, storing, recycling, shipping, and transporting warehoused goods and products. The Equipment Operator operates motorized equipment, uses radio-frequency equipment to track products, handles and repairs materials or equipment, and processes recyclable materials according to customer specifications. The position also requires willingness and ability to perform all duties of Material Handler B as required.

Requirements

• At least one year of related experience in the warehousing or logistics industry.
• At least one year of forklift experience.
• Forklift certification.
• Sufficient education to read, comprehend, and act on verbal and written information.
• Ability to safely lift and move heavy objects, often weighing up to 50 pounds or more.
• Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily, with reasonable accommodations available for individuals with disabilities.
• Demonstrates integrity and ethical conduct and upholds organizational values.
• Ability to demonstrate YLA Core Competencies: Problem Solving & Decision Making, Accountability & Responsibility, Communication, Collaboration & Teamwork, and Customer Focus.

Responsibilities

• Perform all duties of Material Handler B as required.
• Operate motorized equipment, including forklifts, clamps, cherry-pickers, and motorized pallet jacks.
• Use radio-frequency (RF) equipment to track products.
• Disassemble, reassemble, or repair products, materials, or equipment.
• Sort, bale, weigh, load, and recycle materials based on customer specifications.
• Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
• Interact appropriately with employees and customers.
• Complete assigned tasks and projects in a timely manner.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures.
