About The Position

This position is responsible for safely and efficiently operating a forklift or other powered material handling equipment (MHE) to move, stack, or pick/pull merchandise. The scope includes warehousing activities as needed, including shipping, receiving, inventorying, product repackaging, palletizing, and forklift operation. The role requires following prescribed work methods and OSHA standards, maintaining equipment through daily inspections, and ensuring inventory and shipments are handled accurately and securely.

Requirements

• At least 6 months of verifiable work experience within the prior 36 months operating material handling equipment as required by the role, such as a sit-down or stand-up forklift, reach truck, or cherry/order picker.
• Ability to perform the essential duties satisfactorily, with reasonable accommodations available for individuals with disabilities.
• Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds unassisted.
• Ability to carry and climb a ladder.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, including at least 2 hours straight, four times during an 8-hour day.
• Ability to frequently twist, stoop, squat, reach above shoulder level, and crouch.
• Ability to use hands and feet simultaneously and perform repetitive movements.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment safely and efficiently in accordance with prescribed work methods and OSHA standards, including daily inspection and maintenance.
• Load, unload, move, stack, and stage products and materials using powered material handling equipment and lifting devices.
• Unload inbound shipments safely and move products to storage locations.
• Stack and store merchandise in appropriate areas.
• Pull and prepare products for shipment, ensuring accuracy for loading and shipments.
• Move products from staging or storage areas into trailers or containers.
• Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage.
• Perform pick and pack, light assembly, labeling, sorting, wrapping, packing, and repacking as needed.
• Maintain appropriate records and reports to support inventory control and security measures.
• Assist with physical inventories as needed.
