About The Position
Ace Carting, a Waste Connections company, is hiring an Equipment Operator for its Fort Ann Transfer Station. The role contributes to the safe and efficient operation of the transfer station. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and the pay rate is $27 per hour with weekly pay.
Requirements
- A strong safety mindset and attention to detail.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Responsibilities
- Back into the building to hook up to empty trailers, unhook the truck, and operate an excavator to move and manage solid waste at the transfer station.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work area.
- Perform daily equipment inspections and promptly report issues.
- Communicate clearly with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth operation.
- Follow all safety procedures and operational protocols.
- Support team needs and step in wherever needed to keep operations moving.
