About The Position

The Equipment Operator supports concrete and civil construction projects by operating heavy equipment for site preparation, grading, excavation, material handling, and concrete placement. The role requires field experience and an understanding of how equipment operation affects concrete quality and production. Work takes place at outdoor construction sites in varying weather conditions and is fast-paced and physically demanding. Overtime and weekend shifts may be required depending on project schedules.

Requirements

At least 2 years of heavy equipment operation experience, such as operating excavators, skid steers, or loaders.
Ability to read site plans, grade stakes, and layouts.
Strong understanding of equipment safety and operation standards.
Valid driver's license.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work in physically demanding outdoor conditions.

Nice To Haves

Experience working on concrete projects, including foundations, slabs, footings, or utilities.
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.

Responsibilities

Operate excavators, skid steers, loaders, backhoes, and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
Perform excavation, grading, trenching, and material handling for concrete projects.
Prepare sites for foundations, slabs, footings, and flatwork.
Support concrete crews during forming, pouring, and placement operations.
Read and interpret blueprints, grade stakes, and site plans.
Conduct daily pre-trip inspections and basic equipment maintenance.
Monitor and adjust equipment operation to maintain grade and alignment.
Load, move, and place materials safely across the job site.
Follow OSHA and company safety protocols.
Maintain clean and organized job site conditions.
