About The Position

Waste Connections is seeking a safety-focused Equipment Operator to support its solid waste collection, transfer, disposal, and recycling services. The role operates heavy equipment, inspects and maintains equipment, promotes safe and environmentally sound workplace practices, and works with customers and company employees to address service issues.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience operating heavy equipment.
• Knowledge of heavy equipment operation and maintenance.
• Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment, including bulldozers, wheel loaders, motor graders, scrapers, and compactors.
• Perform routine equipment inspections and maintenance.
• Promote continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
• Interact with customers and Waste Connections employees to determine safe and environmentally sound solutions to service issues.
