About The Position

The Equipment Operator safely and efficiently operates a forklift, clamp truck, cherry picker, or other powered equipment to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. The role may also include Generalist duties. Responsibilities span receiving and put-away, quality checks, order picking, loading, equipment care, inventory control, warehouse safety and sanitation, and facility maintenance.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Good math, language, and reading skills; basic computer skills.
A high degree of attention to help prevent injury and promote a safe work environment.
Ability to follow equipment operating and recordkeeping instructions.
Ability to complete assignments accurately, promptly, and safely.
Ability to maintain a clean and safe environment.
A clean driving record and valid state motor vehicle operator’s license may be required.
Forklift certification per OSHA standards.

Responsibilities

Unload inbound shipments safely and move products to storage locations; stack and store merchandise in appropriate areas.
Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage, and report quality variances.
Pick and prepare products for shipment, ensuring the correct quantities and product types are loaded and shipped while meeting customer service standards.
Move products from staging or storage areas into trucks or trailers.
Load, unload, move, stack, and stage products and materials using powered equipment.
Maintain facility equipment and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly condition; operate equipment safely according to prescribed work methods.
Maintain records and reports to support inventory control and security; assist with physical inventories and ensure proper stock rotation.
Keep the work area clean, neat, and orderly; help maintain warehouse security and conduct work safely in compliance with OSHA standards.
Perform or assist with aisle and Distribution Center maintenance as required.
