About The Position
Denali Water Solutions is hiring an Equipment Operator to support daily facility operations in Salisbury, Maryland. The role involves operating tractors, loaders, forklifts, and other equipment; moving and loading materials; maintaining the site; and assisting with equipment upkeep. This is a hands-on, outdoor position suitable for individuals comfortable working independently, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and performing general labor. Weekend work, overtime, and schedule changes may be required based on operational needs. This is a safety-sensitive position, requiring employees to stay alert and work with care for their own safety and the safety of others.
Requirements
- Experience operating tractors, loaders, forklifts, or similar equipment.
- Working knowledge of small engines, preventive maintenance, and basic trailer repairs.
- Ability to identify mechanical problems and complete minor repairs.
- Ability to work independently and stay productive with minimal supervision.
- Ability to lift at least 50 pounds regularly and perform physical work involving bending, climbing, shoveling, and extended periods of standing.
- Willingness to work outdoors in heat, cold, rain, mud, and dust.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with farm equipment, agriculture, construction, welding, fabrication, hydraulic systems, diesel engines, or heavy equipment maintenance is a plus.
- Experience in agriculture, construction, or similar outdoor industrial environments.
- Basic welding or fabrication experience.
- Knowledge of hydraulic systems, diesel engines, and heavy equipment maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Operate tractors, loaders, forklifts, and other equipment safely.
- Move raw materials, finished products, and equipment around the facility.
- Load and unload trailers, trucks, and customer vehicles.
- Inspect assigned equipment before and after use, and report concerns promptly.
- Perform routine maintenance, including fluid checks, greasing, and filter changes.
- Troubleshoot equipment problems and complete minor repairs to small engines, tractors, trailers, and production equipment.
- Assist with trailer lights, tires, wiring, and other basic repairs.
- Help with shoveling, raking, sweeping, lifting, and site cleanup.
- Keep work areas clean and organized while following company safety procedures.
- Take on other operational duties as needed.
