About The Position

The Equipment Operator operates a variety of equipment, trucks, and tractors to support mountain and utility repair, maintenance, and facility construction. The role includes routine slope maintenance and operation of equipment used by the Mountain Operations team. It requires physical labor and outdoor work in a high-alpine environment, along with a flexible schedule that includes weekends and holidays. This is a winter seasonal, full-time position for the 2026/2027 season, with housing available. The expected pay range is $20.00–$23.00 per hour.

Requirements

At least one year of heavy equipment experience.
Previous heavy equipment experience.
Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
Previous guest service experience.
Read, write, speak, understand, and comprehend English fluently.
Ability to lift and carry 100 pounds.
Ability to perform physical labor.
Ability to work outside in a high-alpine environment.
At least 18 years of age.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED, preferred.
Experience using power tools, preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide routine maintenance to slopes and operate Mountain Operations equipment, including skid steers, forklifts, and backhoes.
Monitor equipment, ensure issues are addressed promptly, and communicate those issues to Vehicle Maintenance.
Perform physical labor across a broad range of resort jobs.
Work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
Take directions and work as part of a team.
Accurately troubleshoot equipment problems.
Help train new and developing operators in a constructive manner.
Perform other duties as assigned.
