About The Position

Interstate, a family-owned janitorial and maintenance company, is seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Equipment Operator to work at a client site. The role involves cleaning and maintaining assigned areas, using cleaning supplies and chemicals according to procedures, and safely operating warehouse and cleaning equipment. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, able to work independently, and a team player. The listed job specification is not comprehensive and may be modified or include other related duties.

Schedules offered are 6:00 AM–4:30 PM Sunday–Wednesday, 6:00 AM–4:30 PM Wednesday–Saturday, or 5:00 PM–3:30 AM Monday–Thursday. Pay is $18.00 per hour.

Requirements

• Must be able to follow basic safety procedures and precautions.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Must be able to pass a background check.
• Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling of up to 50 lbs.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience operating warehouse and cleaning equipment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean, dust, vacuum, sanitize, and disinfect bathrooms, breakrooms, and other assigned areas.
• Dust and wet mop floors.
• Remove trash and replace trash can linings.
• Use appropriate chemicals and supplies according to procedure.
• Operate EPJ, scrubber, tugger, forklift, and baler safely and correctly.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
