About The Position

U.S. Facilities, Inc. is seeking Equipment Operators to perform a combination of skilled equipment operations, preventive maintenance, and manual labor tasks in roadway maintenance. This role involves operating various heavy machinery, managing traffic control, performing roadside maintenance, and responding to emergency situations. The position requires flexibility due to a 24/7 operation and may involve short-notice assignments and work in various weather conditions.

Requirements

High School diploma/GED or demonstrated equivalent experience or training.
DOT medical card.
Class B CDL at minimum.
Ability to obtain Flagging Certification within 60 days of employment.
Virginia Driver’s License in good standing.
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Knowledge of highway maintenance equipment, materials, methods, and procedures.
Able to perform heavy manual labor (carry 50 pounds 50 yards).
Able to read and follow oral and written instructions.
Able to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
Skilled in the operation and maintenance of light, medium and heavy-duty equipment used for highway maintenance and repair.
Fingerprint based Criminal History Records Check.
Drug Screening.
DMV records check.

Responsibilities

Perform skilled equipment operations, preventive maintenance, and manual labor tasks in roadway maintenance.
Operate equipment including backhoe, dump truck, loader, motor-grader, tractor/bush-hog, and similar equipment.
Flag traffic and set up work zones and traffic control.
Cut brush, clean ditches/debris, and patch potholes.
Perform emergency roadway operations.
Perform routine tasks as outlined.
Perform any other duties as assigned by a supervisor and/or USF Senior Project Manager.
