Equipment Operator II - Natural Resources

This role is in the Parks + Rec Department and is responsible for operating specialized maintenance equipment and is proficient in use of handheld equipment, hand tools, and other power equipment. Performs asset and infrastructure improvements and manual labor as necessary. Responsibilities include cutting brush and trees from county infrastructure and participating in ice and snow control operations. Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in an industry related position or craft
- Must complete Division specific training as directed
- Must obtain a Class B commercial driver’s license with air brake endorsement within six (6) months of hire
- Heavy lifting is required, sometimes in excess of 50 pounds
- Must submit to/pass pre-employment background/drug screen
