Equipment Operator: Dozer

About The Position
The Dozer Operator levels and scoops soil and controls the direction and angle of the equipment to move rocks and debris. This position will work with a straight or articulated rubber-tired tractor type vehicle equipped with a front-mounted hydraulically powered bucket or scoop.
Requirements
- Must adhere to OSHA safety protocol, and work in a drug-free environment
- Must be reliable/have reliable transportation
- Must possess or be able to obtain a valid and appropriate state driver’s license prior to employment.
Nice To Haves
- Construction industry experience preferred
- Takes full ownership of assigned projects and can work independently
Responsibilities
- Watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.
- Operate the dozer and other heavy equipment in a safe and appropriate manner.
- Ensure dozer is in proper gear and is not moving too fast for working conditions.
- Observe hand signals, grade stakes or other markings when operating machines so that work can be performed to specifications.
- Operate equipment in a safe and appropriate manner.
- Understand and comply with all Company Safety policies and procedures as well as OSHA Regulations.
- Assists with loading and unloading trucks & deliveries.
- Observe hand signals, grade stakes, or other markings when operating equipment so that work can be performed in a safe and quality manner.
- Familiarity with excavations and heavy lifting.
- Experience in stockpiling.
