About The Position

Sundt is looking for a Dozer Operator with prior experience, preferably with mining experience due to the nature of the work on steep slopes. The role requires availability for overtime, passing a pre-employment drug screen, and offers a rate of $37 - $40/hr. DOE plus a cash fringe benefit. Working hours are 60+ per week, with a weekly per diem of $1,246 for qualified candidates. The estimated project duration is 1 year. The Equipment Operator safely operates a variety of heavy equipment, including backhoes, excavators, dozers, loaders, graders, haul trucks, dump trucks, and water trucks. Responsibilities include performing preventative maintenance and pre-shift walk-arounds of assigned equipment to ensure safe operation.

Requirements

  • Must have a minimum of three years (level I), four years (level II), five years (level III) and six plus years’ experience in the industrial/commercial construction industry and have an in-depth understanding of the operation of various types of heavy construction equipment.
  • Must be able to read and understand drawings, specifications, safety and quality standards and effectively utilize all trade tools and equipment relevant to the work.
  • Possess effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be available to work overtime.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen.

  • Prior mining experience is preferred.
