Requirements
- One year of experience as an Equipment Operator A (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration)
- Two years of experience in the operation of heavy construction and specialized maintenance equipment used at this level with a gross vehicle weight of 32,001 pounds or more
- An equivalent combination of experience and training
- Must possess a valid Class A Commercial Drivers License (CDL)
- Must meet the PA residency requirement
- Must be able to perform essential job functions
Responsibilities
- Operate motorized vehicles to haul materials and oversee loading and unloading
- Tow heavy trailers carrying construction equipment on busy roads
- Operate dozers, loaders, excavators, and tractors for reclamation work
- Work in residential areas to install drainage systems and fill mine cave holes
- Assist with equipment maintenance, minor repairs, and record keeping
- Perform manual labor and support project completion tasks
