About The Position

As an Equipment Operator A with the Department of Human Services at Wernersville State Hospital, you will help keep campus operations running smoothly. Requirements

Six months experience in the operation and maintenance of large vans, buses and single-chassis trucks with a gross vehicle weight of 10,001 pounds or more; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training
Possession of a valid Class C Pennsylvania driver's license
Must be able to perform essential job functions
Must meet the PA residency requirement

Nice To Haves

Must obtain a commercial driver's license (CDL) within the probationary period

Responsibilities

Operate buses, trucks, vans, tractors, and other equipment to support hospital transportation needs
Use mowers and related equipment to maintain safe and well-kept outdoor areas
Move consumers, employees, supplies, food, and equipment both on and off the hospital grounds
Complete safety checks, clean vehicles, and perform minor maintenance tasks to keep equipment in good condition
Operate plows, blowers, and de-icing equipment to maintain safe travel during winter conditions
Load materials, clean outdoor areas, and assist with tasks that support facility upkeep
