About The Position

As it pertains to the physical structure, equipment attached to said structure, and property, to maintain and repair the building’s equipment as directed by the Facility Manager under the guidance of the Sr. Mechanic. To complete assigned PM’s and repairs as capable independently, or while working as part of team. Accurately diagnosing, pricing out parts and equipment necessary for repairs. Maintaining an orderly shop, and general maintenance of work areas. Drain clearing and water jetting as necessary. Assisting with other aspects of the department as the FM sees fit.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years and older
  • Vocational/trade school degree and /or 1-3 years of experience
  • Basic knowledge of trades such as equipment repair
  • Familiar with operation of power tools, and equipment such as scissor lifts
  • Proficiency in the use of Excel, Word, Internet research engines
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks
  • Flexibility in work schedule
  • Naturally inquisitive with a desire to learn and develop their skill set
  • Requires frequent walking, standing, reaching and bending, with lifting up to 70 pounds
  • Requires repetitive motion of arms and hands
  • Potential exposure to hot and cold environments
  • Greet customers with a friendly smile and positive attitude, ensuring that each customer feels welcome and appreciated.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure the smooth operation of the store, offering assistance and support where needed.
  • Improve and maintain the efficiency of the store in order to reach success.
  • Be a positive ambassador for the store, representing our S.T.E.W. values in all interactions with customers and team members.

Responsibilities

  • Complete PM’s and repairs/ projects as assigned by the FM with supervision as necessary
  • Price out all repairs and maintain data logs of equipment repair history
  • Shop maintenance and cleaning as necessary
  • Drain clearing and water jetting as necessary
  • Assisting with other aspects of the department as the FM sees fit
