About The Position

This position is responsible for maintaining and repairing the building's equipment, including the physical structure and attached equipment, as directed by the Facility Manager and under the guidance of the Sr. Mechanic. The role involves completing assigned preventative maintenance (PMs) and repairs independently or as part of a team. Key duties include accurately diagnosing issues, pricing parts and equipment, maintaining an orderly shop, performing drain clearing and water jetting, and assisting with other departmental tasks as needed.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years and older.
  • Vocational/trade school degree and/or 1-3 years of experience.
  • Basic knowledge of trades such as equipment repair.
  • Familiar with operation of power tools, and equipment such as scissor lifts.
  • Proficiency in the use of Excel, Word, Internet research engines.
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks; Flexibility in work schedule.
  • Naturally inquisitive with a desire to learn and develop their skill set.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and repair the building's equipment, physical structure, and attached equipment.
  • Complete assigned PMs and repairs as capable independently or as part of a team.
  • Accurately diagnose issues, price out necessary parts and equipment for repairs.
  • Maintain an orderly shop and general maintenance of work areas.
  • Perform drain clearing and water jetting as necessary.
  • Assist with other aspects of the department as directed by the Facility Manager.
