About The Position
Matheny Medical and Educational Center in Somerset County has an opportunity available for a Part Time Equipment Mechanic. This position is three days per week, Monday, Wednesday and Friday. The role involves maintaining and repairing medical equipment and devices, managing inventory, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. required.
Nice To Haves
- ASHE Certified Health Care Physical Environment Worker (CHCPEW) preferred.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair medical equipment and devices
- Manage the medical equipment inventory
- Maintain accurate maintenance, repair and inspection records
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations
- Coordinate with vendors for warranty repairs and specialized servicing
- Monitor equipment performance and recommend replacement or upgrades when necessary
- Maintain inventory of repair parts, tools and supplies
