About The Position

Performs duties associated with the day-to-day management of a fleet of heavy equipment and vehicles including related reports, maintenance program and management of daily operations. Responsible for the management of equipment rental agreements and life cycle of company owned equipment to optimize company’s bottom line profitability.

Requirements

High school diploma/GED or equivalent.
5 year’s experience in fleet management.
Ability to mentor and train staff.
30 Hour OSHA training.
Valid Driver’s License and ability to drive on behalf of company business.

Responsibilities

Coordinates repairs and maintenance to be performed by mechanics and by third party vendors.
Prioritize requests from the field and assign the most appropriate personnel to the task(s).
Assists Construction Managers in the negotiation and acquisition of rental equipment including review and approval of all rental agreements with vendors.
Coordinates mobilization and demobilization of equipment to and from the job site(s).
Responsible for the implementation of policies and procedures related to equipment.
Promotes and communicates company commitment to safety by identifying and mitigating task-related safety risks.
Ability to perform manual labor in various conditions and work extended hours as needed.
Strong communication skills, work ethic, and ability to follow instructions.
Ability to embrace a culture of safety.
Knowledge of construction methods, maintenance techniques, and proper tool usage.
