About The Position

This role is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and improvement of factory equipment. The technician will troubleshoot and repair mechanical, pneumatic, and electronic systems, maintain accurate records, and perform preventative maintenance. They will also assist in the design, fabrication, and qualification of new equipment, as well as major repairs and rebuilds. The position involves identifying and ordering parts, assisting with equipment installation and relocation, and performing safety and ergonomic assessments. Adherence to safety and change management processes is crucial. Some weekend and holiday work may be required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Three or more years of relevant maintenance experience.
  • Basic computer/database proficiency.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • U.S. citizen due to U.S. Government contract requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Five years of relevant maintenance experience preferred.
  • Soldering is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, pneumatic, and electronic factory equipment.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and completed work within the maintenance database/CMMS.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on assigned production equipment and facilities in accordance with established PM schedules and methods.
  • Continuously improve PM effectiveness and documentation.
  • Assist in design, fabrication, and qualification of new manufacturing equipment.
  • Perform major equipment repairs and rebuilds.
  • Properly identify parts and supplies needed to support repairs and upgrades of equipment.
  • Obtain quotes and order parts from suppliers.
  • Assist engineers and factory managers with installation and relocation of process equipment.
  • Assist in performing production line safety reviews and equipment reliability qualifications.
  • Perform hazard and ergonomic assessments and resulting upgrades of new and existing process equipment.
  • Follow established safety and change management processes.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
