About The Position

The Maintenance Technician I is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and optimizing filling and production equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operations. This role performs preventive maintenance, equipment setup, diagnostics, and light repair activities while supporting continuous improvement initiatives to maximize equipment availability, capability, and yield.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to read and understand technical manuals, work instructions, and safety procedures.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical training or maintenance-related certification preferred.
  • Previous experience in manufacturing, production, or industrial maintenance preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical systems, troubleshooting techniques, and preventive maintenance practices.

Responsibilities

  • Perform required maintenance and machine setup processes, including cleaning, lubricating, aligning, adjusting, and calibrating equipment.
  • Test, troubleshoot, and prepare filling machines and related production equipment for production runs.
  • Conduct total preventive maintenance (PM) activities on filling machines and associated equipment.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve mechanical equipment issues to minimize downtime.
  • Perform equipment failure analyses and identify root causes of recurring problems.
  • Complete unscheduled light maintenance and repairs as needed to support production operations.
  • Evaluate equipment performance and recommend improvements to increase availability, reliability, efficiency, and product yield.
  • Verify equipment is operating within established quality and safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and documentation.
  • Communicate equipment status, repair needs, and improvement opportunities to supervisors and team members.
  • Follow all company safety, quality, food safety, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) requirements.
  • Assist with special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
