About The Position

The Equipment Maintenance & Safety Inspector is responsible for ensuring the operational integrity of safety equipment, including eye-wash stations and emergency response devices. This role upholds compliance with safety regulations and contributes to a culture of safety within the hospital.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Be able to pass a criminal background check
  • Be able to walk throughout the hospital
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds to a height of 5 feet
  • Ability to stand for a long period of time, stooping and bending at the waist
  • Strong customer service background
  • Strong organization and time management skills
  • Ability to operate a phone
  • Basic computer skills
  • Proficient in English both verbally and written

Responsibilities

  • In charge of eye-wash station checks for 4 research buildings within the LMA area (KARP/ARCH/CLS/Harvard Building).
  • Through examination and testing of all designated Daily/Weekly eye-wash stations.
  • Proper PPE equipment training and adherence to onsite protocols.
  • Weekly check-in with Client and Manager.
  • Hands on data training, tablet device to capture usage and test parameters.
  • Ensure strict adherence to safety regulations, hospital policies, and industry standards, and provide documentation for compliance audits.
