About The Position

The Equipment Maintenance Manager manages, maintains, and schedules all mechanical aspects of the Production and Press Departments. This role is responsible for managing the daily functions of the maintenance staff to ensure optimal operational capacity, overseeing equipment repairs and maintenance for the Operations Departments, and supervising all Maintenance Technicians. The manager will also provide constructive feedback, identify training opportunities, monitor and manage spare parts inventory, and ensure adherence to lockout/tagout policies. Additionally, the role involves recommending machine updates and equipment purchases, managing product and vendor pricing, communicating with supervisors for staffing, optimizing machine layouts, and completing special projects as assigned by the Operations Director. The position also requires demonstrating behavior consistent with DMS values, adhering to IT security and data policies, workplace health and safety procedures, and completing compliance training.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office applications

Responsibilities

  • Manages the daily functions of the maintenance staff to ensure operations is performing at an optimal capacity.
  • Manages equipment repairs and maintenance for the Operations Departments.
  • Supervises all Maintenance Technicians including monitoring attendance and performance.
  • Provides constructive feedback to employees and identifies training and development opportunities.
  • Monitors, orders, and manages inventories of all spare parts used in all Operations Departments.
  • Maintains, updates, and trains employees on all lockout/tagout policies and procedures.
  • Recommends any necessary machine updates and equipment purchases.
  • Manages product and vendor pricing processes.
  • Communicates with the Press & Production Supervisors/Managers to ensure proper staffing and coverage.
  • Optimizes the layout for newly purchased and existing machines.
  • Completes additional assignments and special projects as needed.
  • Completes additional assignments and special projects from the Operations Director as needed.
  • Demonstrates behavior consistent with DMS values and the Code of Conduct.
  • Learns and adheres to all information technology and data security policies, standards, guidelines, and procedures.
  • Learns and adheres to DMS rules and established policies for workplace health and safety.
  • Adheres to all other DMS policies and procedures.
