Requirements

• Three years of experience in the repair, inspection, or operation of mobile equipment or heavy mobile equipment; OR Three years of experience in the inspection of automotive equipment.
• A valid Louisiana Class “B” Commercial Driver’s License is required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site preventive maintenance and safety inspections.
• Document equipment conditions, recommend corrective actions, and assist with repairs as needed.
• Monitor and track equipment repairs performed by DOTD personnel and outside vendors to ensure work is completed accurately, efficiently, and on schedule.
• Collaborate with managers and maintenance supervisors to assess equipment needs and provide recommendations for equipment purchases and specification updates.
• Maintain detailed equipment inventory records, including asset locations, maintenance history, repair records, and current mechanical condition.
• Evaluate equipment maintenance products, assist with updates to Equipment Operations and Control Program (EOCP) guidelines, and recommend improvements to maintenance practices and product specifications.
