About The Position
North American Lighting (NAL) is looking for an Equipment Engineering Manager to join their team. This role involves planning and directing the Equipment Engineering function within the organization. The manager will provide technical support to engineering, manufacturing, and other operating departments, and oversee prototype and production builds, tryouts, and approvals for all new products in a timely manner using the provided manpower.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related discipline.
- 8 - 10 years of experience in equipment design and/or implementation within manufacturing.
- 3 or more years of experience in a supervisory or lead role.
- Experience in automotive parts manufacturing is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provides leadership, guidance, mentoring, and supervision of the Equipment Engineering staff.
- Ensures that the Equipment Engineering group provides timely support on new product launches and all other assigned projects.
- Maintains a summary progress report of all projects handled by the department.
- Evaluates vendor capabilities and provides recommendations for vendor selection and approval.
- Provides expertise to assist the departmental staff in generating new concepts for technical solutions related to assigned projects.
- Sets and manages overall departmental goals, budgets, and operations.
