About The Position

The Equipment Detailer is responsible for washing, cleaning, and detailing equipment. This role also involves operating and maintaining vehicles, tools, and equipment used in the detailing process, as well as performing light maintenance on dealer-owned sales and rental equipment, and customer equipment. The detailer will also deliver customer equipment and communicate repair status and payment information as needed. A strong commitment to customer service and promoting the service department is expected.

Requirements

  • Ability to use standard desktop applications such as Microsoft Office and internet functions
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and independently
  • Able to bend, lift and carry
  • Valid driver’s license with an insurable driving record required
  • Must want full-time, long-term employment
  • Reliable, arrives on time and has excellent attendance
  • Good time management skills
  • Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments
  • Works cooperatively in a team environment
  • Demonstrates a good work ethic
  • Employs good time management skills and the ability to work independently and as a team
  • Exhibits a constant commitment to customer service

Nice To Haves

  • 1+ years detailing experience preferred
  • CDL preferred
  • Enjoys restoring something that is dirty or run down into something fresh, clean, and ready for the next user

Responsibilities

  • Washes, cleans and details equipment
  • Operates and maintains vehicles, tools and equipment required in the detailing process
  • Maintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashion
  • Performs light maintenance on dealer owned sales and rental equipment
  • Performs light maintenance on customer equipment
  • Delivers customer equipment and communicates completed repairs, payments, etc. as needed
  • Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments
  • Completes all reports and forms required in conjunction with job assignments
  • Accounts for all time and material used in performing assigned duties
  • Exhibits a constant commitment to customer service
  • Promotes the service department to customers including service work, inspections, and parts
  • Maintains a tidy, professional personal appearance
  • Reports to work on time
  • Employs good time-management skills and has the ability to work independently
  • Demonstrates good work ethic
  • Communicates effectively one-on-one and in groups
